There are tons of reasons why you should consider a family pet. A family pet would just not be viable in some households so even if this post is not for, you just stay a while and enjoy the images of our pets.

I was always a cat person and grew up with a cat as our family pets. Dogs were never really a part of my life until I traveled and took on dog sitting and dog walking services to earn extra cash. Sounds tough eh? But actually, I was living the dream, house sitting for power couples and their pets at exclusive properties in San Diego and Vegas. At the same time I had boarding and a reason to keep fit in the sunshine. I have always loved all animals and find them very comforting to be around.
So when my Husband refused to agree to our family having another baby I somehow got roped into having a puppy. A high maintenance but fun loving dog. He chose a cockapoo for the fact that they are gentle natured and do not shed hair. Olivia was a little taken back by this crazy fur ball at first and it took a few months for them to get used to each other but now a year later they are the best of friends.
Joy (named by Olivia) is just over a year old, fab at guarding our premises and although a small dog, she makes me feel a lot safer when we are home alone without my Husband. Having a Dog as a pet has taught Olivia some more independence. She feeds her dog and even walks her. And they love to take a shower together!
Joy has brought lots of love and laughter to our family and enabled us to explore a whole host of places we can go as a family with our Dog.
If anybody has any suggestions or valuable material of Dog-friendly days out or even holidays then please do point me in the right direction and share below.
Our little Joy is not the only pet in the house hold. We also have my gorgeous boy Mr Tinx. He is part Maine coon and is 12 years old. I got Mr Tinx when I moved out of home into my first flat. We are really close and when I went traveling he set off to live with my Mum. He spent many years being her companion and they formed a beautiful relationship. Upon my return to the UK there was no way I was getting him back. My Mum adored him!
But now my boy lives here with us.
It is coming upto the one-year anniversary of my Mum’s passing and Mr Tinx has been a huge comfort to me. He loves being here and has settled in perfectly. And of course, he is still as spoilt. Both the cat and the dog get on just fine too. Olivia is surrounded by so much love and has cuddles on tap from whomever she pleases. I am grateful my Daughter has been taught how to respect and care for animals at such a young age.
