Gardening at this time of year really aint gonna pay the bills so i thought i would add some styling inspiration to the blog. Yesterday i cleared the shed ready for the winter months. I shall miss spending my mornings in there but it seems i am ahead of myself and everything is potted and ready to lay dormant throughout the cold season. My little shed is a retreat for me, a place to pot and craft with flowers. So the time has come to move my hardy’s inside including my Succulents. I did not realise how lovely the green would look in my dining room. I am aware at how difficult it is to keep succulents alive during the winter but so far i think they are are going to do well in my cozy dining room. It is warm and light.
I used the Laura Ashley planter to display my succulents as the colors blend well with my Moroccan themed diner.
Succulents grown in jars look very cool too. I have a few in my office and have popped one in the kitchen. If you are planting succulents in jars remember to add a layer of grit to the soil. I have found that succulents benefit from a little sand mixed in too.
