I am learning to manage my time much better and with a new puppy added to our ever growing family it is our priority to make sure Olivia knows the importance of taking care of our family pet.
We are so lucky to have an array of woodland on our doorstep and today was one of those afternoons where we flung together a mixture of wolly hats and muddy wellies before making our way to the woods. We ventured out late afternoon so my Husband was able to take a break from the office and have a good mind dump from his hectic working day.
This morning I watched from the bedroom window as a few flurries of snow flakes tumbled onto the garden floor. Walking along the woodland trail today , I could feel the hardened frost underneath my boots and was glad to have put an overcoat on the puppy to keep her snug.
Olivia was also well wrapped donning an Easter basket in which she had dug out of the occasion box at the weekend ready for the Easter bunny.
I filled her Daddy’s pockets with plastic eggs and we had a mini egg hunt whilst enjoying our walk. It reminded me how simple and easy it is to entertain ourselves of a cold spring day.
Olivia was free to squelch in a many muddy puddles as she wished and the we all had a great adventure climbing over logs and pretending to swim through swamps.
My Daughters beautiful mind amazes me every day. She will be four in the Summer and her innocence is so precious.
