I have a real passion for traveling and before I had my Daughter I was a free spirit. I would take on modelling shoots, sometimes even two a day and earn my money for my next destination of travels. I have seen so many beautiful places, visited churches in different countries and sampled local cuisines. I was never afraid to travel solo and made some life long friends along the way.
My Daughter is nearly of school age and I spend many nights flicking through travel magazines dreaming of packing up and seeing the world with her and my partner. How fun would it be to stop off in a new town each week and explore different cultures.
When I traveled I lived the life of a social butterfly and sleep for was wimps. We still travel a lot and are very fortunate to see many parts of the UK and Europe. But our time is running out and as soon as Olivia is in full time education we will no longer have the option of taking spontaneous trips away.
As I lay on a luxurious queen size bed in a sea front hotel with my Daughter sprawled in between us I cannot avoid the sweet smell of her dust covered toes. I smell earth and relish that little explorer in her. A faded rope bracelet with rusted bells hangs from her ankle. A trinket she collected from a trip to Spain weeks ago and refuses to take off. I love the opportunity of freedom I am able to provide her with and absolutely dreading the thought of dragging her out of bed on a winters morning and sending her to the same classroom , on the same route with the same faces day after day.
I am exhausted from keeping her occupied but I would love to keep her at this age forever and forget about the responsibilities and demands of life. So with that thought in mind I have decided to post and share some of our holiday snaps. I hope our memories make you feel as happy as they do us.
