I remember Basil! And when we were offered to review his live show at the Grove children’s theater my Husband literally begged for me to accept the opportunity. He is a very big fan of Basil Brush.
Upon arrival i was very pleased with the theaters surroundings. Being a Children’s theater it felt safe and intimate and we were able to view the stage from every angle. Booster seats were also offered for the smaller children which meant our Three year old was comfortable and had ample viewing opportunities.
Basil merchandise was on sale and we decided to take full advantage of our Daughters first theater experience by purchasing a programme, some sweeties and even one of those flashing multi colored light up sticks. A very good investment as she has been using it as a night light ever since!
The show itself was very entertaining and i really enjoyed the way Basil included a lot of very discreet adult humour. Mr Stephen spoke clearly and again was extremely pleasant to watch on stage. The banter between the audience and the entertainers was non stop and children were even invited onto the stage to play games and win prizes.
Basil Brush is a star with the outstanding ability to entertain and make people of all ages laugh and smile.
There were some families of several generations watching the show. Grandparents with their Grandchildren and children.
The show would make an ideal Fathers day gift too as the gentlemen in the audience seemed to be fixated on Basil’s sense of humor!
After the show we were lucky enough to meet Basil and Stephen along with a photograph opportunity. The duo took time to ensure they did a meet and greet with all the children and their families.
We really enjoyed our theater experience with Basil and you too can by visiting the Basil Brush website.
*My family were sent some complimentary theater passes to view the Basil Brush show. All opinions are our own*
