We collected the sun newspaper tokens for a 9.50 holiday. We all know how it works. I chose 3 options and 3 dates. Eagerly I awaited the confirmation of the park I would be visiting with my 1 year old daughter and delicious Daddy. Originally I assumed more people would be joining us but Delicious Daddy said he’s older teenage children would not be too impressed about a token holiday. Oh well the show must go on. I paid for 6 people in total to attend and with 6 people came a charge for 6 entertainment passes. We were offered bed linen for an additional fee but I have opted to take our own. So far I have paid a total of 176.00.
I would like to take a second to explain to you why Camber Sands was one of my holiday choices. When I was a kid I enjoyed a fair few visits to camber. Camber boasts a blue flag beach and is absolutely beautiful. The sand is pure and dunes go on for miles. Nearby villages and towns such as rye, Romney and Hastings are also appealing. I continued to visit this beach with friends throughout my teenage years. I have never stayed at the Pontins resort but as a youngster I always remember the motored train outside the holiday camp. I longed to be allowed onto the sight and join in the fun behind those gates. So now is my chance. Now is my chance to go back and see what I have missed out on. The trouble is after doing my research on the holiday camp the possibility of having a great fun filled luxurious stay is looking quite bleak. The reviews are not good. In fact they are terrible. Delicious Daddy no longer wants to join me – which is a shame because Camber itself is absolutely idyllic. So I am on a mission to bring you a good honest review on behalf of Pontins Camber Sands. I have spoken to staff and they have been very friendly and helpful so far.
Please join me on my twitter journey as I check in at 2pm on Monday 26th August.
