The winter season is upon us and today, I am sharing my ideas on how to present a winter table setting. Lighting is key, along with a good selection of food. With these two key items, I would say you are ready to go. I love the idea of an open roaring fire, cosy socks around our toes and lashings of red wine. Very dreamy!
When laying a dinner table, I always use my finest china. Props and table decor have been gathered from my garden and I find it easy to work with nature. We live in an 18th-century farmhouse so rustic decor is all around us. Our countryside offers plenty of table detail, you just have to find and collect. Next time you are out walking, take a look around you and try to spot something that will add a touch of magic to the dinner table. This time of year you may find some winter berries or a piece of holly.
