When I was younger we had a small shed at the back of our garden attached to a four bed semi in rural Hertfordshire. I loved being outside and set up an after school club for my friends and I in my Mothers garden hut. It was a small shed with a concrete floor, even a little leaky and very cold! We would draw pictures and hang them on the wooden slats using rusty nails as hooks! Those were the days when children were able to be free and explore with no inhibitions. I placed an old blanket on the floor and spent a lot of time in there with the family cat just reading and having picnics. I remember picking apples from the apple tree at the end of the garden and storing them in a broken wooden crate for when I had visitors.
