Rewind back to a post from a few weeks ago and i was asking my readers how they show appreciation to their community. Well i live in a really small village where we all know each other fairly well, there is just one local pub and the little old lady down the road displays fresh flowers and veg on an honesty table for charity. Yes it is quiet here.
Today I have the most beautiful story to share, to the point that if i do not share soon I think my heart may well burst.
We have been living here for just under two years now and recently my Daughter started full time school which meant we took a different route out of the village everyday. On one of our first journeys we noticed a hidden allotment and on the school run we would slow the car right down to have a peep through the bushes and see if we could spot what was growing in there. During the summer a patch was full of sunflowers as tall as giants, Gladioli as bushy as forests and just recently after parking up the car and walking to climb the big wooden gate leading into the allotment we were surprised with hundreds of Dahlia. Different varieties and colors. My little girl is a flower lover and was amazed at the amount of blooms in one area! It was adorable to watch her little face.
