yesterday was the last day of February and with 2016 being a leap year it ended with a glorious day full of sunshine. Luckily i managed to grab a chance to get some outside jobs done whilst Olivia was at nursery. i filled the seed boxes to the brim for the birds, we have two robins visiting daily at present so i am wondering if maybe they have set up camp somewhere in amongst the hedges. We have a gardener who helps with all the big jobs in the garden such as fixing the fences and trimming the shrubbery and i just asked him this weekend to check the bushes before he proceeded to cut them back for spring. The weather has been doing all sorts this month and we have had more birds than usual visiting the garden.
This week i am linking up with Beau Twins and promoting my well being post. A great way to cleanse your insides!
I would love to have the knowledge, time and patience to grow my own mint but for now the supermarkets own will have to do!
If you are a regular reader you will know how i love all things Moroccan. My first taste of mint tea was at Richards posh place in Marrakesh. Kasbah Tamadot.
Mint tea has many benefits. It reduces gas, bloating, nausea and helps abdominal and menstrual cramps. It can help headaches, relieves lung and sinus congestion and also helps asthma. It stimulates the mind yet also has a calming effect.
My new years resolution was to try something new for 21 days. I decided i would start juicing. Ten months on and i never gave up because the benefits were amazing. Not only did i feel better inside i also looked better on the outside. And so i thought. For 6 months out of that 10 i had been using a standard old blender. My blender did the job but was time consuming, slow and eating up all of the nutrients i should have been drinking. I had been wasting perfectly good pulp which is the good bits from fruit and veg.
