I quite like Sundays during the winter time, an excuse to stay home, eat and entertain myself by styling a Sunday table for a hearty lunch. Read on to find out how I will be designing my tablescape this season.
It seems we are spending more time at home with the fire roaring and the curtains closed, lights are dimmed and the kitchen is the warmest room in the house from slow cooker casseroles and home made soups boiling away on the hob.
This weekend has been no different. I pulled on my wellies and hurried a rather reluctant dog out of the door and took a stroll around the farm to gather table decor to compliment the Sunday roast I had cooking for my sister and both our families that day. Outside was dull and wet and we were splashed with rain drops as we collected snippets of holly from the bush. I made the most of picking the covered rosemary and took a bundle of hessian string from the shed.
