We were invited to Rainham marshes, RSPB nature reserve for a fun day of activities to celebrate the launch of Hattie Garlick’s new book, Born to be wild. The book offers hundreds of activities that you can do outdoors with kids for free. We wrapped up warm and popped on our wellies ready for a day of learning and adventure. My sister joined us on our day out which gave us a chance to take in some much needed fresh air and watch Olivia enjoy the open paths.
We had plenty to keep us busy down in the nature hut. Firstly we went fishing for bugs and caught various types including lots of little boatman which were our favorite. Olivia giggled as they raced around the water bucket! We then made an Easter tree using natural materials. i was very impressed with oliva’s effort as she chose to use an array of colors, glitter and beautiful blooming flowers. Mummy loves flowers!
