I love the closeness of family and this weekend we had set up a family camping festival in my spacious garden to enable us all to take a break from our busy schedules and really just spend some quality time together. We had separate areas of the garden for different activities such as camping, a food hub and a recreation area but so many of my favorite moments of this weekend was watching my Daughter and her cousin play. They role played with sticks, climbed hay bales and really took advantage of just running free and being kids. When i set up a quiet spot under the shade of our big oak tree and invited them over for some quiet time i realised that i wasn’t just watching them play, i was watching them, bond, share and teach. These lovely toys had bought them together for some gentle play and the look on their faces were priceless.
My beautiful cousin hosted a baby shower recently for her sister (my other beautiful cousin) and i was blown away by all the great ideas she had put together for a Mary Poppins themed baby shower. We were all invited to number 17 Cherry Tree Lane for an afternoon of blue lemonade and a spoonful of sugar!
My favorite item at the party were the cake pops. Inside the smothering mountain of creamy white chocolate was a ball of moist red velvet cake. Served on a plastic spoon. Genius!
