I have never been a fan of working for someone else and this becomes apparent when I look back at my working career.
From a school leavers age I trained to be a dental nurse and after years of furthering my career in that sector I opted to go self employed and work through an agency. I was able to choose my own hours and source work through my own findings.
I then went on to try out some modelling and found that being self employed i was able to travel and after building up a portfolio of experience I could apply for my own jobs.
Work was very rarely handed to me on a plate. I Persued my own paths and chose my own destiny. I have always been wise and with a bit of confidence thrown in I had the drive and ambition to secure contracts that I always wanted.
So after my baby was born I was desperate to get back to work and earn a wage. I did not have to as fortunately I have a very hard working fiancé who was willing to support me to be a stay at home Mum. But my life was never panned out that way. I was always taught to be independent and this time I had an itch to provide for my Daughter.
Photoshoot at Peach Lane
Little Olivia and i have been busy modelling for various assignments lately.
Just take a look at these beautiful images captured from our local studios in Wendover, Buckinghamshire. Within their studio is a shop that supports local business’s.
We were asked to model some of their beautiful clothes and accessories. The shop sells lots of great finds from jewels to cushions, cards and dresses.
Thanks for the treasured memories peach lane.
Diary of a model mum Feb 2014
Just in case you are new here my model mummy sponsors the #Mummymix which is a parenting chat show hosted online by five different mums including myself Mon – Fri 10am – midday. The show has really taken off in the last few months and this year we are hoping to get some well deserved recognition by entering our team into probably the two biggest blogging events of the year. If your a regular in this gaff then cheers for your support!
The mums have been so busy this month with reviews and social events that i have had little time to get up to much else. We have been enjoying meals together, reviewing burlesque classes and just this week we were invited to a posh do with cocktails and champagne at the oxo tower in London. Busy? HELL YEAH! and in between all the fun we managed to do our relay leg from Hemel Hempstead to St Albans for sports relief. We really are a great team and if you are lucky enough to catch us co hosting (all together) not only are you guaranteed great music but we will don your airwaves with fabulous conversation that will leave your sides aching!
