Our beautiful home was built in 1907 and boasts two grand fire places in both living rooms. They have recently been replaced with modern log burners to help with heating costs through out the winter but fortunately we are still left with most of the original features that fit within our country house style.
Our main gathering station is in the dining room where one of the fire places are situated. This area was bare for a while whilst we decided which theme to go with in this room. The area is fairly spacious and i already have a country dresser along with another side unit to display photographs, cookery books and china ware which i have collected from auction. I also have an enthusiasm for collecting quotes and they were beginning to swarm the radiators and clutter the dining table before we finally agreed to display them. We chose to display them above the fire place along with a chalk board calendar i purchased a few years back before my baby was born.
