For more than 20 years, Canal toys have been developing creative and innovative toys. Today we are excited to reveal to you our experience of the So Bomb DIY bath bomb factory. My 6-year-old and I have been very busy this half term creating colours and scents for our evening baths. Here is our lowdown on the So Bomb DIY bath bomb factory
Olivia invited a friend to help her unpackage a surprise gift from canal toys. The girls were so excited when they realised the present was something that they could get creative with and in no time at all the So Bomb DIY bath bomb factory was set up and ready to go.
The design of the box is so colourful and really appealing to the eye! I really liked the fact that you could see a visual of all the contents included in the box, along with the bath bomb charms and decorative sprinkles. The colour of the bath bomb powders was just as vibrant as they are displayed on the outer packaging.
The contents inside the box are neatly packaged and not too much plastic waste was consumed wrapping the enclosed items. Instructions were fairly straight forward although they are best understood by an adult.
Olivia and her friend certainly needed help with the setup. I think this was more of a case with the instructions being verbally printed rather than visually printed. They are both still only 6 years old. As soon as I sorted out the basics and laid all contents out flat then the girls were able to follow the picture on the front of the box. We wanted to set all the powders and sprinkles out on display as we were filming a review video for youtube too. This made the whole So Bomb DIY bath bomb factory creating experience lots more fun as there was less rummaging around. The girls were able to really get creative and think about how they wanted to design their bath treats.
For me, the materials enclosed or being used on my Daughters skin are always an important factor when purchasing DIY kits. The So Bomb DIY bath bomb factory contents did not leave my child with any irritations but there is a risk of loose powder as with any bath bomb making kit. We were careful to use the scoop provided and the girls created their product under adult supervision in a well-ventilated room with plenty of crafting space.
The girls loved designing and creating with the So Bomb DIY bath bomb factory. Once we were all set up, they were left to experiment with different colours. As soon as the powders are mixed and water is added, the experience becomes almost like a science experiment as the concoction inside the white ball fizzes and foams.
the So Bomb DIY bath bomb factory received a big thumbs up in our household. It was a real challenge to get the right texture and consistency but the trick is not to use too much water. It took us three attempts to make the perfect bath bomb and found that it was easier to just create with one single colour. We tested our bombs in the bath and they made a great fizz, smelt divine and turns the water a different colour too.
