For the past eight weeks, I have been using the younique Royalty skincare range on my skin. Educated by my Younique presenter on how to use my products, I have been carefully following a skin care routine that has added moisture and firmness to my ageing skin.
As a regular reader, you are probably wondering why I am reviewing beauty products on my blog? And as a new reader, that has been directed to my blog purely because you have an interest in Younique Royalty skincare you are certainly going to want a detailed review before you part with your bucks.
So my name is Mary and I am a garden blogger and stylist. Most of my work is carried out in the fresh air preparing and maintaining my own garden. In all weathers, there is always a job to do or always a photograph for an article or blog post that needs to be taken. My skin is exposed to all the elements, all year round. Not only did I want to protect my skin but I also wanted to refresh my skin for when I am presenting myself to clients. Whether this is meeting a potential client or representing my clients through the wedding venue they have chosen to be styled with floral arrangements.
First of all, I want to talk about the packaging that Younique has designed for their royalty products. The pots are sturdy with chunky non-leak lids and the colours are elegant. I really love having matching products and the fact that the product design is so pretty means that I can keep everything neatly on display. Ensuring that I will not forget to keep up my skincare routine. All products are a really good size meaning that we get tons of treatments for our money. Before I used the products on my skin I laid everything out and took the time to feel the thickness of the creams, to see how they smelt and of course to educate myself on how to use the products and when. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of my new potions and was very excited to start testing them.
So let’s start with telling you about each product I used and how to use them. The image above shows the moisture boosting cleanser. It is a 100ml tube. I use this product regularly, perhaps around four times a week and it is easy to glide onto the skin, soaks in nicely and does a great job. The cream is smooth and feels very light. A great bonus is that it is easy to wash off after massaging into the skin. The moisture boosting cleanser is my “go to” hydrating cleanser from the younique royalty skincare range.
Moisture cleanser can be used day or night. I prefer to use mine of an evening as it is a great product for removing makeup. I followed the instructions and use on damp skin.
The detoxifying mask is a very messy but a fun product. It is of a clay density and a black cream. Once applied onto the skin the cream dries to a charcoal grey mask. Whilst the cream is soaking through to the skin I was rewarded with a bubbling sensation which felt amazing. I could really feel the mask drawing out the toxins from my skin. The detoxifying mask comes in a 50 ml glass tub and I would suggest applying with a clean but old makeup brush. You will benefit from using a dark flannel to remove the mask however, it does come out in the wash very easily. This is my Husbands favourite product from the younique royalty skincare range.
My Unique representative says:
The Detoxifying Mask can be used 1-2 times a week at nighttime for dry skin. Scoop it out of the pot using a spoon (this will stop the mask oxygenating in the pot from any grease on your fingers). It will fizz and bubble on your skin. It draws out any impurities, gently exfoliates and leaves your skin looking more radiant.
My Daughter loves a little on her nose – it’s safe for children as it contains no parabens. Leave on for 5 mins and wipe off with a dark flannel. It continues to hydrate your skin even after it’s removed.
Again, the younique royalty night cream comes in a 50ml glass jar. Probably my least favourite product as I am not a lover of night creams. Although nowhere near as heavy as other night creams I have tried in the past. I do use this cream as I can feel the benefit when I wake in the morning after it has hydrated my face through out the evening. I often use it just once a week. Much less than I should.
Here is what my representative says
Time Correcting Night Cream is the last step of your nighttime routine. It’s rich and full of vitamins and nutrients.
My most favourite product of all…..
The uplift beauty serum is a must have from the unique royalty skincare range. The serum comes in a 15 ml glass bottle and is a lightweight piece just small enough to slip into your handbag. I have been testing this range for a few months now and use this serum daily. I absolutely swear by it and I don’t actually think there has been a day where I have NOT screamed about it all over my social media channels. I have been using the serum for my hair, my skin and even in our baths. Now the weather is changing you may even catch me using a small dab on my dry lips. When I apply the serum to my face the lightweight liquid takes just under a minute to dry completely. I love an instant result and the uplifting serum gives me exactly that. Smooth soft skin that makes me look like a teenager again!
If you purchase one product from the Younique royalty skincare range then it has to be the uplifting serum.
Here is what my local younique presenter had to say….
The Beauty Serum is applied at night after your cleanser or mask. I sometimes mix some into my moisturiser in the morning if my skin is particularly dry. It’s great for applying to your cuticles and even putting a few drops into a bath for super soft skin!
