Only one week left of school and today I am sharing with you my favourite lazy garden activity for kids. Painting terra cotta flower pots are super easy and with the weather playing ball right now, there is absolutely every excuse to make a mess. Outside.
Terracotta is an amazingly versatile material and a dream to create with. Today we used paints but of course you could use glitter, pens or even crayons. Chalks maybe. I love the way I have decided to use a slab of a tree trunk as a paint pallette. It really was unused and laying around the garden.
After you have a completed creation, be sure to varnish your pot. We used PVA clear drying glue. Our pot will be water proof and free from damage.
Painting terra cotta pots is a great idea to put aside as Christmas gifts.
