The british summer has got me thinking about brighter days and longer nights. Today I am going to share my favourite picks to create a Mediterranean space with uncommon goods, a great online retailer that I have discovered recently.
Our last holiday was a cruise around the Med and I just fell in love with the colors and the overall atmosphere that I am planning to re create a Mediterranean theme in my home. It has been ages since I did a room makeover and I have been searching for unique pieces to bring my ideas to reality. Of course as you can tell from the majority of my blog posts I have a fond love of gardening so my first priority is to bring a little nature into the home. I adore wall planters to add a touch of color and the featured Tricolor wall pot in the image above would bring a dash of the Mediterannean to a plain wall.
Next up to enhance a Mediterranean space with uncommon goods I would add a pop of colour to the floor. I just love the story behind the making of this Medative mat. There are so many beautiful handmade Mats to choose from on the uncommon goods website.
“Inspired by the contemplative compositions of mandalas—cosmological symbols from Hindu and Buddhist traditions—these mats are intricate, individual works of art. Each one is hand crafted from upcycled fragments of fabric by women in Thailand, keeping textile waste out of landfills while supporting the artisans’ economic independence. Invoking mandalas’ geometry of balance, harmony, and unity, these colorful mats will add a compelling dimension to your foyer, kitchen, or office. Handmade in Thailand.”
And lastly to complement my Mediterranean space, I would need a small side table to stack my books full of inspirational quotes! I have chosen this gorgeous side table as I feel the color gives a clean feel. The eco mushroom side table is made from a fungal fibre bringing a little piece of nature into the home.
The story behind each product sold on Uncommon goods is really unique and interesting. I have been browsing the website for days and not only have I had a great online experience but I have found the Uncommon goods website to also be an excellent learning resource. I have discovered new products and materials that I never knew existed!
Uncommon goods ship to the Uk, they are an accredited business and each product is made by an independent maker.
