Last year i set out on a healing journey and by implementing small changes into my daily routine i feel as though i am a healthier person both inside and out.
The New Year is upon us and we find ourselves searching the internet for ways in which we can get slim or do more exercise or change something about ourselves that we are perhaps not fully content with.
Dramatic change goals are short lived so by introducing viable goals with baby steps, i hope that you too can make changes for the better to your routine that last a lifetime.
Find a hobby
Almost a year ago i found a new hobby and that was clearly gardening!
I set myself some time here and there to grow my own flowers and make our garden a place where we could relax and enjoy. I know that not everyone has time for a hobby, i am usually out there at 6am in the morning before i have to get everyone up and sometimes 10pm at night during the summer months, however it is something i do for myself and creating something so beautiful has helped me heal and mature as a person.
Pray or Meditate
How many times do you actually say Thank you? I pray a lot and do practice a little yoga here and there if i am feeling particularly stressed. I love to find a church whenever we travel and pop in for a quick prayer.I am happiest when traveling with my family or somewhere warm so therefore i am grateful.
Wake up Happy
A life coach once told me to always wake up happy. He said i should think of something that makes me feel really happy before i get up. My Daughter makes me incredibly happy and thank ful and she is usually the first thing that makes me smile in the morning!
21 Day challenge
Simple really, set yourself a challenge and continue for 21 days. I do this alot and some of the things i choose to do are usually stuff like juicing, running, cycling or even sit ups.
I feel as if i am forever tidying our home but a clean house equals a clean mind. By staying organised i feel as if i can fit more into my day, taking pressure off of my mind and making time for the most important things.
