With so many bamboo sticks laying around the garden and absolutely zero winter flowers that need propping up i decided to make use of the canes and build a fun piece for Olivia’s playroom. The room is low on light anyway so any excuse to hang fairy lights is a winner in my book!
This was a real simple task that i was able to make using the tools and nails from my Husbands toolbox. The only item i had to purchase was the spray paint. Admittedly i would have liked to use white but the shop only had gold in stock.
I cut the bamboo poles to length to produce a Christmas tree layer and added some small tacks to hang decorations from. I also had to knock some slim nails into the wall to hold the poles, quickly moving on before Hubby reads that….
I added some twinkly lights and let Olivia go ahead and hang all her decorations from the tree. It looks so pretty and was a lovely experience for her to decorate herself and choose what she wanted.
Have you made any home made Christmas decor this year?
