Last December we headed off to Ascot on a winters evening to give our little girl the best experience of meeting Santa that she could of ever imagined. If you are planning on going to Lapland UK and are concerned about investing in the tickets to visit then i can assure you that in our opinion (our standards are extremely high!) the experience was and is worth every penny. I am not a fan of crowded children’s events but the organizer’s of Lapland Uk had obviously put a lot of planning into making sure their event runs smoothly. Each group is made up of a certain number of children which means you get to experience the resort without queuing.I also felt this gave my child the opportunity to feel the magic of Christmas and really get involved with the workshops and have lots of one on one time with the elves. I don’t want to give too much away as it really is a magical place so maybe just enjoy this photo heavy post with a short itinary of our experience from 2015.
We met our elf and were taken into a group to watch a show.
We then attended a workshop and helped the elves make two toys for children all over the world.
(each child had their own desk and parents can join in too)
Straight on to help Mrs clause bake gingerbread cookies in her kitchen. We were supposed to give our biscuits to Santa but Daddy ate them instead. Mrs Clause read everyone a Christmas story.
After decorating our cookies we wanted to go ice skating. We met real Husky dogs on the way and there was a big christmas tree in the middle of the ice rink. We skated to music and there were penguin skaters for the little ones.
Daddy had some beer!
Next up we ventured inside the post office and wrote a letter to the north pole. The elf gave us a special stamp.
Finally after spending our elf money in the gift shop it was time to visit Santa. We trekked through the woods which was illuminated everywhere! so bright and magical until we reached santa in his cabin. We had family photos and got a lovely gift to remember Lapland UK in the future.
If you are visiting Lapland UK this year do remember to wrap up warm and check out their special Christmas eve experience.
