By now we are just a shade of ten cruises so i have pretty much grasped the fashion criteria whilst sailing on board a cruise liner. Over the years our family have maintained a good relationship with the companies we choose to cruise with and with three generations cruising on a yearly basis it is imperative that we all look our best. Equally Our Four year old loves to dress up for dinner and a show just like her Mum so that means carefully planning our wardrobe.
Here are a few of the formal outfits i wore for this month’s sailing around the Baltic’s. I chose to dress up most nights as we had reservations in some of the speciality restaurants on board the celebrity eclipse.
Times are changing and as we are becoming seasoned cruisers we tend to gain a lot more invitations to more formal events and lots of tea parties where the dress code has strict requirements. At the same time a lot of ships now and especially the celebrity fleet have dismissed most of their formal evenings and prefer to invite guests to appear in chic wear. I am all for this standard of dress as i feel it fits the ships personality very well and is on trend with the entertainment on offer.
I have been researching fashion pieces for 2016 and am totally excited to share my top picks from designer Jolie Moi.
You can view her collection over on the Lyst website.
I adore all of her dresses and i have chosen several styles for day wear events. We are due to cruise again this year and this is what i shall be wearing at sea.
I am cray cray about the style of the dresses i have chosen as i have a neat, curvy figure. I am also happy to wear color and yellow will complement my complexion and dark hair. Cruising is not just about being on the ship. It is also about having the flexibility to explore on a countries doorstep.
Lyst offers a range of fashions and the new Autumn collection is stunning.
I love packing my camera, slipping on my sun hat and stepping off of the boat into the unknown. As a blogger i love to document my trips by taking cool photos which means my fashion status has got to be on point.
Our next cruise sees the weather becoming a little cooler so here are some statement pieces i have chosen for a European cruise in October.
1. Cropped Jacket
From Moda Operandi Uk.
I would wear this Jacket over a light vest and pair it with soft touch ankle length black jeans.
I would also use the Jacket to wear with a short black dress and tights, along with heeled boots for the evening.
2. Grey ankle boots
From Free People UK
I am in love with these boots. They would look fab with the jacket and jeans i have chosen and extra comfy for walking too.
3. Hurst Back Pack
From John Lewis
I travel light when i am ashore and really only need a place for a few coins, a water bottle and my phone. This cute backpack is durable for traveling and just the right size.
I would love to hear about your cruise style and which sailings you may have been on recently.
Thanks for stopping by!
