I love a bright color pattern in our home and can often be found playing changing rooms in our dining room.
This time however i have come up with some home made touches that i really love and finally the hub of our home is just the way i have always envisaged. After carefully packing away my fine china from auction, i gave the dresser a good dusting over and started to display my favorite glasses and trinkets we have collected from our travels over the years.
I already know that this is going to be a photo heavy post as of course pictures tell a great story. The only item i invested in for my dresser project were these Indian inspired paper table mats. I bought them from home sense and am totally obsessed with every print offered. I used them to line the dresser and add a little more color!
All other items were things i had stored away at home.
So let me tell you about the items i have chosen to display on my dresser. The goblet glasses were a real bargain and with 50 percent off they were a snatch at just £12 for a set of six. We bought them a few years ago and always drink red wine from them! My other glasses were again purchased from Home Sense ( This post is not advertising their company in any way… promise!) and i keep them for display only.
The candles were a gift from my Mum and are both the initials of my Husband and I.
The Moroccan teapot and tea glasses are from Morocco. And finally the small spice pots i believe were from a shop called QD stores.
That concludes my dresser make over and i have added a few other touches to the dining room also. I have draped shawls from Spain over the dining room chairs and added flowers along with my brightest table cloth.
The room is so fun and we are really enjoying spending time in there.
Do you have a dresser? What is on it?
