Hello National Gardening week….
I would be a fake not to post something on my blog right?! But you do not have to be 101 to enjoy gardening and with the younger generation should we say, a few house plants here and there are proving super trendy.
So how can you cheat?
Firstly invest in a really nice set of planters and buy pre potted herbs from your local flower nursery or Garden center. I would love to live in a high rise studio if i was young and trendy – neither of those… and i would have loads of foliage hanging from the balcony and window ledges.
I really love this planter from Laura Ashley in which i have been displaying my herbs this month. They look fabulous and oh so stylish stuffed with green foliage and scented goodness. Transferring the plant from plastic container to pot is ever so easy and ensures a display in an instant.
peculiarly i do not own any plant boxes and it myths me as to why because they are fabulous. A simple plant box below a window on the garden shed can really add color to your patch. I love these beauties i spotted at the flower nursery today and would be ideal to fill up a planter with for a splash of tropical color.
Spread some seeds! Wild flowers grow anywhere and require virtually no maintenance whatsoever. I have just planted a wild flower area in my garden under an old tree and also a larger area to help preserve wildlife. Can totally recommend Meadow in my Garden – a company in specializes in seeds. I cannot wait for mine to start flowering!
I hope you find my cheats useful and enjoy a low maintenance splash of gardening in your life!
