2016 has already given me lots of opportunities to put my travel writing to the test and one of the commonly asked questions is how to travel light. So below are some great tips on how to save some space in your case.
Wear bulky items
I always take a hat on holiday and when taking city breaks i have to don my walking boots. By wearing boots, hoodies and several tops on my flight i can save a little room.
shawls and scarfs.
Shawls are a collectors item for me when i travel. I own shawls in an array of colors and love to sit back and snuggle when on a long journey. Used as an over piece to match up an outfit or an airplane blanket then a shawl or two will always double up as a warm layer.
Instead of folding try rolling jeans and tops. I am always suprised at how much space this saves and leaves extra room for souveneirs on my return.
Consider a small shoulder bag, or even camera bag that you can use to keep all of your electronics together including a charger and international adapter plug. Stash your emergency credit card in a side pocket along with cash and lipgloss!
For me personally, i like to seek out all of my favorite products in travel size. Flying fresh faced is a must and using valuable time on a flight to beautify my skin is crucial! Save room by buying investing in compact beauty products and keeping them in a clear make up bag for a quick go to fix.
