There are so many reasons for me to be sending flowers this month, two of my friends have just had babies and another friend with a baby due any minute now! All girls too. Receiving flowers makes me feel really happy. I love the smell, the scent, the look but most of all i love the thought. I am a keen gardener and nothing makes me happier then growing and pruning my own flowers through out the year and displaying them in a vase on the kitchen table to brighten up the room. But life is busy and most people do not have the time to tend to a beautiful garden. Like my friends for instance. These three ladies have spent the past nine months preparing for their precious babies arrivals, people showering them with compliments and gifts for their little ones. But what about the Mums? Every Mum deserves a bunch of flowers and with fresh flowers being integrated with Interflora there is no excuse not to make a loved ones day wherever they are in the world and whatever life event they may be experiencing.
As a member of Interflora, Fresh flowers can arrange for flowers to be delivered in Melbourne, Sydney and almost any location in Australia and overseas. They will require a minimum of 48 hours to organise the delivery. Simply contact Customer Service through the website with all the details and they will arrange everything for you.
It is comforting to know that i could send flowers to any where in the world from my home computer or mobile phone. FreshFlower cater for any occasion and even weddings. Fresh Flowers have provided some really great information on how to care for your flowers in 7 easy steps.
Step 1: Always use clean vases or containers. Bacteria in the water will shorten the life span of your flowers. Household bleach is an excellent cleaning agent for your floral containers.
Step 2: When you purchase flowers from FreshFlowers.com.au you will receive flower food to increase the longevity of your beautiful flowers. Have your vase ready before working with the flowers and fill it with about ¾ full of fresh water and floral food (please use as directed).
Step 3: Remove all of the leaves that will be under the water while in the vase. Leaves that are submerged will rot, thus creating bacteria.
Step 4: Each stem should be given a fresh cut, at least 3cm from the stem base, on an angle and ideally while holding the stem under water. Cutting under water prevents air from getting into the stem which could block the flow of water from going all the way up the stem and to the actual flower. You can fill up a sink or a small bowl to do this.
Step 5: Flowers will last longer in cool conditions, away from direct sunlight, heat and draughts.
Step 6: Keep your flowers blooming by re cutting the stems and replacing the vase water every second day.
Step 7: For flower arrangements with a foam base, simply add ¼ cup of fresh water each day.
Most importantly – enjoy the flowers! They don’t last forever but they do bring you great joy and happiness!
