I absolutely adore my Daughters bedroom, it is light and airy and extremely girly. I have designed Olivia a little haven that I would of loved as a child. The wooden dolls house is from a car boot sale and it also came with a box of furniture. The wallpaper and bed linen are all from the Esme range at Laura Ashley.
This giant wooden lantern was a real bargain. Again from TK Maxx it should of retailed at £40 but at the till scanned for £14.99. At present it is filled with bright artificial flowers but as winter approaches I am thinking about placing a giant church candle inside. We will be using this piece at our wedding as a decoration.
Curtains are from John Lewis which I hung myself and I chose a statement tassel to gather the curtain in the center. Our living area is a grand room and needed a statement piece. The double doors lead out onto a stone patio where we have been enjoying breakfasts throughout the summer months.
Lastly i would like to share one of my most recent projects. This wall resides in our dining room and this particular section is made entirely of brick. It used to be an old fireplace and has recently been refurbished to home a wood burner. I could not decide whether to use this wall for travel pictures or quotes but i made a decision in the end. This area looks rather bare in the image below but is currently packed full of fun objects such as two big home grown pumpkins from our neighbor and some halloween paper chains. We have also taken it upon our selves to leave each other quotes and drawings on the hanging chalk boards. I really enjoy being in this space.
