We have finally found our happy place as a family and it is right here in our garden.
The sun is shining of a Thursday afternoon and for the first time in a long time I am feeling very relaxed. My toddler has taken a very rare nap today and awoken in the most delightful mood. Olivia is roaming around our secluded garden with an overgrown jumper on and no trousers to cover her little legs. Her pants are lopsided and her bare feet are pressing against the freshly cut grass. Auburn locks of hair rustled up into a scruffy bun without a care in the world. When my Daughter is happy my life feels content. I let go of routine and just let the day find its own cause.
Our Garden is like a race track. The green acres overwhelm and circle around our house. We prefer to assemble in just one small shaded area, perfect for summer afternoons and wandering in the warm sun. We spend a lot of time on this land exploring and venturing along the flower beds and shrubs and it is clear to see that the lady who lived here for so many years before us was a keen gardener.
We have planted a few bulbs ourselves, mostly tulips bit have a beautiful rose bush by the entrance of our house. I hope to use these roses in my bouquet arrangement next summer for our wedding. Flowers are spread sporadically around the garden and I spend many moments trying to figure out what they may be called and how to take care of them.
I would love to show you the types of flowers that grow in my garden and welcome any advice you may be able to give.
