A few months ago we made the transition from moving our pre schooler from her cot to a bed.
We worked in collaboration with worlds Apart
and found the perfect themed bedroom for her.
After months of preparing Olivia for this change we finally got the bedroom put together and ready for her to sleep in. We struggled for a few weeks and eventually introduced a star chart.
I put together my own version on my PC keeping it simple and easy to use.
I purchased a pack of colorful stickers from my local book shop to use as an incentive for Olivia to stay in her bed through out the night.
We add the sticker to her chart in the mornings if she has stayed in bed for a full night. We have probably only accomplished two full weeks out of six but i had never expected this mile stone to be easy! Olivia knows that on a Sunday if she reaches the star on the chart with a full row of stickers she can then go to the shop and choose a treat. So far she has earned one magazine and a packet of soft plasticine!
Of course we do not deny Olivia her sticker if she has woken through illness or nightmares.
If you think a reward chart at bedtime will help you get some extra shut eye then please go ahead and download my free printable!
Do you have any other ideas that printables could be used for?
