Olivia is 21 months old now and around 6 months ago i purchased a cheap plastic pink potty for a quid! We have been using it as a toy for her dollies and trying to incorporate the signs of needing to go to the toilet during play.
Her speech is fairly good and she has been letting me know that she is doing “poo poos” for months now in her nappy. But recently we were hanging out in her play room and she said the magic words – i whipped off her nappy and passed her the potty. She sat and did her business. This has been a regular daily occurrence ever since. Now i have done my research and i am expecting for her to possibly give in on the idea of potty training. In fact i always said the potty would never be used and i would train her straight to toilet, now i guess i just need to go with the flow (no pun intended) and see what happens.
Recently i took a trip to the Baby and Toddler show at Blue water and met the Pourty team. The potty that pours.
I have the whole kit and if Olivia decides to start training now then great, i am prepared!
Have you potty trained a toddler yet and do you have any good tips for me?!
