Life is crazy with a toddler and i am saving for our wedding therefore will not be spending money or time in a gym!
I am not too shabby and would say i am in good shape but just need to tone up. I jumped in on fellow presenter Vicky
and founder of The Beez Kneez radio show today and we asked our listeners who are brides to be to send in their health and fitness related questions. The theme proved very popular and in case you missed it i would love to share some of the tips with you.
Our first bride asked Vicky the “best tips for skinny arms on her wedding day and actually this question popped up a few times due to the style and cut of modern wedding gown. Our other Brides to be asked about well being, health and diet.
Here are a bunch of great tips i picked up from the #Mummymix thanks to our listeners questions online this morning.
By isolating just one muscle arms will become bulky. Press ups against a wall work on every muscle in your arms leaving them toned and slender!
Eat a light breakfast before your big event but cut out the carbs. Carbs are found in bread, pastries, oats and croissants. Eggs are great for protein and avocado served with strawberries draped in honey is a healthy but tasty recipe. Try not to over eat the evening before the wedding as this will leave you feeling bloated and full. Grilled meat with a fresh salad will satisfy you nicely and keep that tummy feeling flat.
A juicing regime is a great habit to come accustomed to in the mornings. Vicky informed us that the secret of a good juice/smoothie is a ratio of 3 veg to 2 fruit. We were advised not to be afraid to pack all of our leafy greens in there as the sweetness of an apple will leave your palette feeling fresher. Avocado is a great food to juice along with natural yoghurt. A squeeze of lemon or lime is also recommended.
And finally Vicky gave us some great pointers on how to keep our immune system fighting fit. Lots of fresh air, 20 minutes of exercise everyday or even a brisk walk and plenty of healthy fruits of vegetables. One last thing…. lots of beauty sleep.
I love to snack during the day and need to source some healthy treats – what is the healthiest food you snack on?
