Ha, number 1 is very bad!!! I have to admit me and my husband don’t really do a lot for Valentines for each other. I just do valentines crafts with the kids!!
Mary Louise says
Anna i follow your crafts on Pinterest – i would be happy with that!

Very good! Our excuse is the same every year – we don’t need to celebrate as it is our “getting together” anniversary on 13th February. Fifteen years tomorrow then ten years married in September *faints*
Wow that is quite some years!

We often use no.9!
When I was a child Valentines was for your secret admirer so it wasn’t about couples as they should quite obviously know that they admire each other! I must be getting old and cynical 🙂

Ha! This did make me chuckle! I’ve heard a good few of these in my time.
It’s all a bit too commercial for me. We’re doing handmade cards and that is all.
I will buy a card and make some love hearts with my toddler for her Daddy! Weve decided to have a nice meal at home. Cheaper and more relaxing!

We dont really celebrate as a couple, but the kids love valentines

LOOOOL! My husband hasn’t had to use any excuses as yet. I’ll send him this link just in case 😉

Excellent – I wouldn’t be surprised if my other half has made a note of some of these…. usually forgets it!!
I will keep number 3 for when I forget our wedding anniversary, so thank you! For some reason I just cannot remember the date, let alone the year. Shocking I know.
It is ok not to remember. We are mummies… babybrain lasts a while ; )
Those are some great excuses – I wonder which one I could get away with hmm…. x

We actually wanted to do something nice (going out) this year, but alas we have no baby sitter. And so we will making our home into a restaurant/spa/cinema. Although it is commercialised I like that there is one day although people should do it more to just really be cute and show you care 🙂
We have the same plans also – minus the spa… good idea, i might get a bubble bath!
Love it…….have to say we don’t celebrate Valnetines Day though
Jenni Clutten says
Loving the idea of a weekend escape! Valentines day isn’t a big occasion here but I am sending cards to the grandparents from the children.

Made me chuckle!
I’ve definitely heard number one before 😉

We ate our meal in the caravan on the drive one year to escape the children but one by one they knocked on the door….
Ha ha! I’ve heard a few of these before! Bloomin’ men! 😉 x.
This is brilliant! Mr Hubby better not pull any of these out tomorrow x
I’m not really bothered about valentines since we became parents..I don’t know if that is a good or a bad thing really! x
haha I actually agree with number 9 – no, we do need a special day, but it is nice to have one 🙂
