My New years resolution for 2014 is to do more for charity. So with Team Honk hosting a bloggers relay from Lands End to John O Groats for sports relief this seemed like my chance to get involved and get started!
Team Honk Hemel Hempstead to St Albans 6 Miles
On Tuesday 4th February 2014 after recieving the baton from Hayley shutterflies(Milton Keynes) Myself Mary Louise of mymodelmummy.com and partners in relay Paul Hooker of imwellconfused.me.uk and Afra from www.madmumof7.com will be travelling 6 miles from Hemel Hempstead to St Albans using bycicles.
We will be taking part in a quick interview for our local radio station and a few snaps for the local paper before heading on route via the Nickey Line from Hemel Hempstead to St Albans. The Nickey Line is a disused railway that once linked the towns of Hemel Hempstead and Harpenden via Redbourn, in Hertfordshire
The first ever Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games take place from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd March 2014. The public can join the fun and games by running, swimming or cycling their way to raising cash at over a thousand venues around the country, including the landmark events at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
As one of the biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active raise cash and change lives. The money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people both at home in the UK and across the world.
