Our Daughter was christened in the same church I was bought up in. I made my Holy Communion there and my confirmation. Eventually we will marry there! The day was very special.
We hired a function room at a local hotel and had a pig roast for our guests. We also hired a soft play area for the children and babies. It was a beautiful day so there was lots of ride on toys outside in the gardens and that’s where we all ate too.
My good friend made the cake – butterflies are always included in themes at our family gatherings so delicately iced butterflies were placed around the cake.
We gave gifts to our godparents and our wedding favours were handmade. We were fortunate enough to find a local young lady that paints pebbles. Her artwork was spectacular and we had personalised stones for the nannies and granddad! The other stones contained Olivia’s full name and the date of her christening.
My beautiful girls christening gown was from Monsoon. We bought christening cards and had the inserts printed out. It was much quicker to glue then write!
