Since becoming a Mummy I love Milton products. I first discovered the Milton tablets. They are dissolvable and sterilise after just 15 minutes. I had a steam steriliser up until my baby was 10 months old and I always used half a Milton sterilising tablet in the water at the bottom of the unit.
Now my Daughter is 14 months old I still soak her bottles and her teats in a tub of Milton based water to sterilise them after they have been scrubbed.
We travel a lot and so Milton tablets are packed in my suitcase every time. Because they are not in liquid form I always carry a few in my hand luggage just in case of stray luggage or delays.
There are also other products from the Milton range that I enjoy using. There is a Milton spray. Admittedly the smell of the spray is very strong so I only use it if the kitchen is well ventilated and Olivia is not in the room. However you know it does what you want it to do! I spray over Olivia’s highchair and leave to soak up any germs. I also use on the sideboards, and to wipe down cupboards and the fridge.
Then there are the wipes. Not as strong smelling, almost fragrant free. These wipes are great for travelling too. At home I use them to wipe down door handles, light switches, telephones and remote controls! And that is the first thing I do as soon as we check in to a hotel room or holiday accommodation. Imagine all the germs scattered over these everyday used items and utensils that cannot be seen. Urgh. I do not have OCD but I do like a clean house and I like peace of mind that we are not going to get ill on our holidays.
So the reason for this post (and I am mega excited) is to test a new product that Milton has invented for sterilising dummies. It is known as the mini portable soother steriliser.
I have seen them in a range of colours, pink, blue and green.
We decided to keep the pink one for ourselves as it matches our changing bag.
My daughter is constantly dropping her dummy and us mums are all guilty of using our mouths as a steriliser! Well life just got easier and cleaner thanks to the new soother steriliser. It takes just 15 minutes to sterilise the dummy and keeps it sterile for up to 24 hours. In the pack came a pack of mini Milton sterilising tablets. Instructions are easy to follow and there is a sponge inside the round steriliser where the dummy is placed. No mess, no spills.
We love this product and it comes with a Velcro strap attached to the sterilising ball. This means because it is portable we can take it everywhere. I strap ours to the changing bag and now my daughter is getting bigger I sometimes just strap it to my handbag. She does not need so much stuff now when we are out but I never leave the house without our steriliser. It always has a spare dummy stored inside so if she drops one there is a spare handy and ready to be used.
Milton gave us a blue steriliser also for a competition giveaway.
I decided to run the competition on my radio show hosting the mummy mix online at
www.radiodacorum.org.uk weekdays 10-12 midday
The rules were simple. Entrants had to follow myself @rowdyreviewer my radio show @radiodacorum and of course the suppliers of this review @Milton_baby and then request a song to be played. After lots of good entries we chose a winner.
The winner was C Clark a full time mummy from Hertfordshire. She entered the competition for her sister in law who is about to have a baby boy. She said the colour was perfect and posted a picture of her prize to her Facebook twitter feed.
Thank you Milton for allowing us to test your product.
A big thumbs up from us!
